Food Finders are hosting events at Admiral Park in Long Beach in November and December. They need volunteers to distribute free food to the community. Volunteers under age 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Please visit the Food Finders website to find out more information.
Our freinds at Food Cycle LA are working hard right now to try to recover as much food as possible and there is such a tremendous need for volunteers with the current crisis.Here is a link to the page on their website where people can sign up to help.

They use the app Chowmatch to schedule their volunteers and show them opportunities that are available.​
Signing up is easy! Once you click the button you will start the sign up process Learn basic food handling guidelines and sign our drivers pledgeTake a quick quiz - if you have any problems with this - just let me knowSign up for your first food recovery run!
The sign up process takes about 30 minutes. After completing the process, you will receive a confirmation email. You will need to confirm your email to finalize the process and be added to our system. We’ will then approve you and help you sign up for your first run.When signing up in Chow Match, please do so from your computer. Then, download the Chow Match app on your phone. They will give you further instructions after you complete the volunteer signup process.

Help LA FB with traffic control, and help distribute and load food into the vehicles of families, individuals, and older adults in need of food assistance.

*Minimum age requirement is 18; NO exceptions*
*All volunteers must wear closed-toe/closed-heel shoes*
*Volunteers MUST participate for the entire shift
8:00AM Registration, shift is 9:00AM to 12:30PM
*Volunteers may bend and repeatedly lift up to 30 lbs*
